2006 Moomba Mobius LSV 22
Hey guys thanks for the add. I'm looking at getting my first boat and the boat is a 2006 Moomba Mobius LSV 22 with the following:
Tower
11 speakers
Amp
3 ballast tanks
Perfect pass. cruise control
hydraulic wedge plate
4 blad prop
fiberglass swim platfrom
complete service done in March
438.8 hours
5.7 fuel injected 340 hp V Drive
I had a few questions about it including:
-What potential issues should I be looking for when I look at it?
-Are the hours too much?
-General value of this boat? The only thing they are saying is wrong is the interior needs to be redone and its $2k for everything
-It has the massive aluminum tower on it, can it be removed? If so, is it worth anything? Can I add in this style tower easily?

Thanks for any input!

Welcome
Hours for that year are great
Interior replacement expected on 11year old boat
Yes you can remove the tower it will leave quite a bit of gell repair to be done.
Yes you can add the other tower, it will require drilling to mount.Malo <--- Means--Evil or Mean One. This explains a lot.

Changing out the tower is a pretty expensive proposition. I would leave it as the one you have is a great tower. Then again, to each his own. The boat you are looking at is the same hull used for years and was one of the top selling wakeboard boats for 5-7 years or so. It does everything pretty well and surfs great with a suckgate you can make for $40. Post up some pics and enjoy!

Also FYI not sure if you have a quote but I haven't heard of anyone being able to redo the interior for 2k assuming all the vinyl needs to be replace. I have an 06 LSV and getting quotes around 4K to redo all the vinyl.

By the way I have 700 hours on my 06 and view that as relatively low for an 06. Plenty of hours left

I don't think the hrs are a problem at all.
Definitely get a quote on the interior before buying so you know exactly what it will cost you. You can use that to negotiate down the price.
I would leave the tower for sure. Way too much money involved in doing gel coat repair and then buying and installing a new tower. Just my .02
As far as the value of the boat? My guess would be around $25K considering you have to do the interior. Give or take a couple of thousand. Just a guess.Scott

Thanks for the input guys. So I'm not actually buying it but trading my can am maverick for it. I have 30K into my maverick but can only get 20K realistically for it. Plus a trailer worth $750. He said he wanted 27K cash price or 29K with interior done meaning interior is 2K to redo.
I guess I'm just worried its not actually a good deal. Here are some pics of the boat and interior.
Thanks for any and all input!
