Also, do you guys stick strictly to lakes? I live in Florida and wanted to be able to take it in the bay or inter coastal (obviously I'm not making runs to the Bahamas in it).

I never put mine in salt water or even brackish. Your trailer will be destroyed very quickly as it is not designed for this. The engine can be flushed but you will notice surface rust, etc. in places that will make your boat look terrible. Parts you can't see like your steering cable will fail quicker too. Find a buddy with an outboard/fishing boat and hang out with him on salt water days.
Where do you live?
I ask b/c if you are in NE FL you might consider a shop. There was a guy on here who got a fantastic deal on a whole new interior from this place:

I live in north Florida and had the interior redone in my Supra last year. Prices ranged from $4500-$6000 depending on what grade marine vinyl was used. Check around.
