We were up north this past week and did quite a bit of surfing (I did, at least). I think I'm getting the hang of it. . .with stock ballast, I definitely cannot drop the rope weighing close to 200lbs. The wave seems better on the starboard side, so I tried surfing goofy as well. A bit better, but it was my first time on that side so I was a bit wobbly.
Until we upgrade, we really need more people in the boat! All we have is a 180lb driver, my 110lb wife and my two kids who total less than 100lbs.
My wife still can't get up out of the water, so she let out line off the swim deck. There is enough wave to push her. She had some trouble letting rope out but was fully in the water, she went ropeless for about 10 seconds trying to adjust the rope in her hands before the fell over. Didn't even know it as she was focused on rope management!2017 Mojo Surf Edition

2017 Mojo Settings
I'm right around 200 lbs and seem to be able to ride ropeless behind our 2017 Mojo Max Surf Edition. We all ride goofy so we have the port rear bag at 80%, starboard rear bag at 100%. Auto flow at 60%, wake plate all the way up and center/bow bag at 100%. Rode rope less with just my wife in the boat driving.

[QUOTE=rdlangston13;311034]I'm right around 200 lbs and seem to be able to ride ropeless behind our 2017 Mojo Max Surf Edition.
Same here at 235 lbs but it's no fun just sitting in the pocket. This thing needs serious ballast enhancement. I'm offended that it's got that stupid surf edition sticker on it. It's fine to say just weigh it down more and it will be an awesome wake but at $115K, it should be ready to go without spending another nickel.
Having surfed the massive wake behind a Craz that's been weighted properly, I know I'll be happy when the Enzo's are dropped in, just wish someone else would pay for them lol2002 Supra Santera (SOLD)

I guess I don't know what the Max Surf edition is, I thought it was just Surf Edition and Pro. Pro has 500lbs more of ballast from the factory, however I don't know where that ends up.
Skill level also has something to do with it I'm sure as well! I'd like to get behind a boat that's properly weighted to see what it feels like.2017 Mojo Surf Edition

We have the surf max package and I have a 250lb sac that I throw under the long port side seat on our mojo. 100% port, 80% starboard, 100% front Ibs and hard tank plus that 250lb bag under seat at about 10.5 up to 11 depending on who's riding. Plenty of push.
