surfboard advice

We want to get my son a new surf board for his birthday, he is about 5'9 140-145 lbs. The board he has been using is the hyperlite broadcast 4'8 but has advanced past this board and wants to be able to do more tricks and moving around in the wave. Any advice on a board that will help him move up to the next level would be appreciated.

My son is right around there and is working on a Slingshot Gnarwhal. Has good speed and enough play with all 4 fins in but still relatively stable... haven't even begun to experiment with removing them yet.
