Manual flow works just as good as a suction gate, I have ran both, the built it system is easier. Check your speed with gps to make sure you are running correct. Bow weight lengthens the pocket, try running the wake plate all the way up then slowly adjust down to clean it up. You've already found that 2 second position works best for most people...have fun!!! Invite about 8 people out, move them around like ballast and you'll quickly see where you need the weight for the best wave. Also, don't forget, that boat throws a killer wake for boarding!!!!
