I got some gray 3/4" irrigation pipe from home depot. it has a little flex to it, but mostly stiff. I think they're 4' long. Drilled 2 holes and attached the flags with zip ties. Ran 2 rows of duct tape on the bottom to take up the play between the tubing and the holder. works great. Put a cap on the threads on top to finish it off.

Thank you sir, I appreciate the reply! I was thinking I would need something a bit more sturdy, but some of that tubing is pretty thick walled, never even thought about it. I may do the dame and try and put small eye bolts through it for the flat to attach to.

Looks like you have Corson's surf racks or something similar. I have a set of these to install on our boat as well.

Yep, I made something similar. Comes in really handy. The other night, I had 3 thick EPS surf boards and my foil board all on either the cargo bimini or the overhead racks. Here's a pic with 3 of my 4 spots taken:

Here's a pic of the initial install. Later however, I had to move the rack to it was more centered over the clamps. I was getting way too much play on the front end. Even with 1/4" aluminum flat bar, it was bouncing way too much and I didn't like all that flex on my boards as we were moving... Especially the foil board.

I'm still trying to figure out optimal solution, as now with the racks centered over the tower clamps, I'm getting interference with my wakeboard line when I cut all the way out. Overall they work great though.
