Ballast Upgrade - 2016 Mojo - Surf edition- Help?
Would like to upgrade 2016 Moomba Mojo - Surf Edition - advertised at 2500 lbs. ballast. How/where is the weight distributed? i.e.What is the weight of the bags in the rear lockers and bow bag? How does that add up to 2500 lbs? When you consider upgrading (adding) ballast do you have to consider that additional ballast to stay within the overall Capacity-Weight of 2,500 lbs. per the owners manual specs? Thanks

I'm usually up to ~3800 lbs when running with wife and kids. Never had 1 concern about being too heavy.
~1300 under each rear locker/seat
1200 bow+center2015 Mojo

I have the same boat moomba helix 2.0
The front has 450 and 2 in the back 450 each side. And the rest in hull. Unfortunately you have to upgrade to 1100 in rear lockers.

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but I do not believe water ballast counts towards your max capacity for the boat. Otherwise, with full stock ballast, the boat could only safely handle 2 people, I don't think that would be the case. I am pretty sure your #2500 capacity is people and gear.
