    Default DIY Suck gate

Not bad at all considering it was only me on the boat and factory ballast. That I actually fell off one time but I made sure I pushed a little harder when I reattached did and there were no problems.

Looks great. My DIY suckgate opened up a whole new world of surfing on my 07 XLV. Probably saved a lot of cash by keeping me in my boat for several more years as well.

No pics handy but I'll try to get one next weekend.

If you look at this one, it would go right under the XLV sticker in the rear in the grey area. Not sure if you have that hull groove on the 2012 or not.

Pics as promised. Here is where I mount mine. Best I can do without losing my phone to Davy Jones' cajun locker.

Hmm, looks really good, well done. How hard it was to construct it (and how much money did you spend, if I may ask)?

My XLV is a 2008 and I've never, ever had it budge once. I generally stick it in a similar spot as Poison. And my 2008 is the newer hull so I assume it's like yours.
My hull tapers down more on the stern in the center color section, so there's a limit to how far I can go back. But it's honestly never moved once. And the other day I motored a little at 15mph with it on...

1992 Supra Sunsport. **SOLD** 2k pounds ballast, Surf System, Blue LED's everywhere, decent audio system.

Sorry I haven't been on the forum recently. Mine is positioned much like the other pictures on this thread.

Mine fell off one time until I found a little trick. When you clamp the suction cups down on the boat do not tried to evenly push them both on at the same time. Focus on just one cup at a time and the suction will be much greater. Last weekend I forgot that my suck gate was still attached and got my boat up to wake boarding speed and my gate did not budge at all.

It was pretty crazy! I quickly noticed the massive wave of water shooting up next to my boat coming from the suckgate.
