    Default Rpm?

I have 2013 LSV with the 330 hp chevy. When at full throttle I am running about 4800 RPM at about 39 miles per hour. I am trying to figure out if I need a high altitude prop.

What RPM and speed do you run?

My 2008 LSV would run about 38.6 mph at 5,000 rpm and I still had more throttle to give it. I would say if you are unloaded and the throttle is all the way down and that's all you get I would reprop it

Be aware that WOT on the 325 assault is 4600-4800. If you are flat out and not within this range, you are propped incorrectly for what ever altitude you are at. It is super important.

I'm not sure if it's the same motor in the OPs boat.

I thought it was 5000 for the 325 and 5200 for the 345?

    I can't speak for the 345 but I know the 325 is 4600 - 4800.

    Edit: Per Engine Nut:

    Default Don't Kill Your Engine!
If you wakeboard or wake surf and load your boat heavily it is critical that your boat is propped appropriately to ensure that your engine gives you the kind of life that you expect. It is critical that the engine is able to turn RPM at wide open throttle within the designated range for your engine. The standard 5.7L engine, Assault 325, 330 … the engines that have the flame arrestor at the top of the engine like a carbureted engine … the WOT RPM range is 4600-4800. The premium 5.7L engine, Assault 340 … the engines that have the flame arrestor at the rear of the engine and a decorative plenum on top … the WOT RPM range is 4800-5200. The 6.0L engines … the LS2 and the L96 … the WOT RPM range is 5200-5600.

Am I reading this right? Based on this info, it seems like I am running just right. I only have run it with about 1200 lbs of ballast and 4 adults on board. Maybe it will be more sluggish with more people but I think I am ok for now.

    Thanks for the help.

Your WOT I believe is stamped on your engine somewhere if I remember correctly. As long as you don't go over that RPM you are fine. If you have the throttle down all the way going as fast as possible and you are below the WOT range then you can reprop to get the rpms up into the WOT range.
