    Default Won't take fuel

2014 mojo does not want to take fuel. I get a couple gallons in and it spits out of the hole. This was when I tried to fill at the gas station. I bought some gas can and the same results. Dealer say to try at the gas pump with handle upside down to force the fuel in. This seems wrong to me. Ideas?

Sounds like the hose going to the tank has a kink or maybe something has moved it slightly. Follow the fuel filler hose from the exterior all the way through to the tank and see if there is an issue with the hose.

My Stingray would fill from the stern and the hose was at such a horizontal angel I had to fill super slow to prevent the gas from spitting back out, was just a dumb design in my opinion. Have had no issues with the LSV or SA.

Is this a valve next to the gas fill that I can open to help vent while filling?

I found a kinked hose near the vent. This could be the culprit. Probably need to put new hose in.

You don't need a new hose unless you make it longer

Get a peace slightly larger hose, zip tie it to the kinked section to keep the kink out.

You could also just use a Gates Unicoil. I use them a lot on older bike builds where you cannot get replacement hoses but need a tight bend in a standard hose. I think they go to 1".

Jesse - That Gates Unicoil looks to be a good solution. Hey, glad to see you are still here on the Forum. Hope all is well and you are enjoying the Mondo! - Stuart
