Buying a 2004 Mobius LS...questions to ask?
Long time lurker, first time poster....
In the market for a 2004 Mobius LS...what questions would you ask the seller in advance of actually seeing the boat? What would the main things you would look for when you actually saw the boat.
Boat I am looking at has about 125 hours or so....
Thanks in advance and appreciate the help.

'Where is it stored?" (vinyl/carpet condition)

Hope this helps,

The "teenager" question is a big one. Before I bought my current boat, I asked an owner of a boat I was interested in to send me additional pics of his boat. The ones he sent were of his teenage son and all his buddies in the boat. The photo's revealed the seats were in bad shape and I would have to say the owner left it up to his son to look after it. The boat was only 3 years old. I think you can tell alot about a boat's mechanical condition by its cosmetic condition.

Personally, I would ask him these questions:
1. How many hours has the engine been used for?
2. How often has the boat been serviced?
3. Where has the boat been stored?
4. Is there any warranty left and is it transferable?
5. What does the warranty cover (if applicable)?
6. What problems has the boat had – if any?
7. Why are you selling?
8. How long have you owned the boat and are you the original owner?
Btw, check some Mobius boats here: https://www.zeboats.com/used-boats/mobius-boat
Maybe here you can find something.

125 hours on a 16 year old boat is like 7 hour/yr. I would ask if it has been stored/not used for a lot of those years. Low hours is usually a good thing but too low means that everything has just been sitting and a lot of the seal and gaskets could be dried out and cracking.
