Wakemakers custom rears for a 2016 Mojo
Hi guys,
I just received my custom Wakemakers ballast bags and got them installed yesterday. I figured I'd share since there seems to be a lot of conversation on this topic. My wife wouldn't let me take up all of the storage under the seats so custom was the only way to go. I'm attaching a snapshot of the design and will post pictures of what they look like when full once we can get out. With the monsoons in the midwest lately, we haven't been able to get out yet Wakemakers calculates them at 1350 lbs, but I think they are closer to 1220 or so (without any flexing etc.) Either way, this should be an improvement over the ~950lbs or so I could hold in the 1100's.

They ran a little over $1100 with the discount code as I recall. That said, I finally got out today for the first time and am posting up a few pictures of fitment. The portable ballast pump in the one picture is sitting over my heater (port side). As you can see, I still have some room for a little storage when full. In the rear lockers, there is probably a little room for a few life jackets on top of the bag, but only a few. We had to readjust our storage a little once we filled them all the way up
I figure these probably run give or take 1200 to 1250 when full and we can really adjust the wake how we want it now. We didn't upgrade the front bag so I figure we are running a total of about 3600lbs when everything is full. My wife is the only one in the family that surfs port and she has never been able to ride rope-less until today. We just had to drain the starboard bag for about 60 seconds (from full) to clean up the wake and give it the push it was missing before. We only had 3 total in the boat (2 when she was surfing) so I suspect it will be much better with more people in the boat. All in all, this is much better than having 450 lbs of portable ballast to move around. Also better than having 1100's that probably only fill to a little over 900 We are happy for now until we figure we get the itch for a bigger wake, but I suspect lead is in our future when that happens. BTW - We were running about 12.2 mph on port side and 11.8 starboard and the push comes in anywhere between 1/2 and and all the way up.

Looks pretty sweet. We just put in 1100s and I can't seem to get them full like you mentioned. Do you have any idea why?

Sorry... 17 Mojo. No but I did cycle the switch. Will reset the timers and see if that works. Thanks

You need to add time on the timers. They are preset to fill the OEM size bags. Rule of thumb is generally 100 pounds per minutes I believe. It may take a few adjustments to get your timing just right.

I'm try to get pics of the wave this weekend if weather permits. I'm still screwing around with the timers but will probably land on give or take 12 mins. They fill up much faster when running down the lake than they do with the engine off or in neutral. We've been out 3 times now and are happy with the upgrade 😀

I have a 15 mojo. How do you adjust to remove ballast from one side? I will check the manual but I do not recall reading about this.
