2016 SC450 rudder alignment with prop nut

I took delivery of new boat after checking over I was inspecting prop and rudder and I see the rudder is not aligned with the prop. Looking from behind the rudder sits to the right about an inch or so. Is that normal? I think my moomba I had the prop nut was centered to the rudder. Thanks

Totally normal. Was that way on my previous boat and also on my new boat.

What got me looking at this is think I have a steering issue When you turn steering all the way to right I get 1.5 turns and I feel a stop and when I turn to left I get over 2 turns and is mushy feel. Is your steering like that?

Rudder is offset so that the driveshaft can be removed without pulling the rudder.

I still had to loosen the mounting bolts on my rudder and "pull" it a bit with a ratchet strap to get my driveshaft out but did not have to remove the rudder because of the offset. I think the prop rotation offsets the offset so you don't notice it when driving.
