Default ANYONE surfing an Outback V?

    Just what the title says.
2010 model with factory gravity I ballast.
Gearing up for the season after many life issues.
Never really set it up for surfing.
Looking for others who have successfully done so, with recommendations.

    Thanks!

It's not the wave you will find on the bigger boats, but we surf our '13 OBV all the time......here is what I would consider in the way of upgrades for the best wave:

    - IBS (we have the 650#)
    - upgrade the rear sacs to either 750# or 900#.....we have the 900# and they fill the space completely
    - build or buy one of the surf/suck gates out there....they are truly essential to the best wave you can get

    2013 Outback V
    - ballast: 900# rears / 400# center / 650# IBS
    - audio: Exile SXT9Q x 2 towers / Kicker KM65 x 6 cabins / Xi 12 sub / Javelin & XM15.4 amps / ZLD
    - FAE
    - DIY suckgate

All we do is surf behind the OBV.

750's in each corner, 400 up front, plate all the way down or up (can't recall which it is) and 10 MPH.

    Got it.
Mine only came with the center locker 400# so I have some plumbing to do.
    Are you using it also?

    I do have a 750# and a tsunami pump.
(also have a 400# and an IBS new in the box...)

The 400# up front is the one in the floor locker, or something further forward?

Yes, I use the stock 400# PLUS the IBS. I use the vent off the 400 to fill the IBS and then vent the 650 out of the boat - pretty easy install.

    Simple.
I'll do the same with my IBS.
Typically fill the rear bags equally and use the gate?
    Thanks again!
What speed do you typically run?

Yes, I fill both rears fully (I prefer that since we have both regular and goofy riders), use the surf gate and run about 10.5

750 rears 400 center and retrofitted the 400 from the rear as an ibs. Plus a suck gate. I run 75% on non surf side. 10.5 mph. Wake plate at 1/2.
