    Default Wetsuit question.

Was in the lake today, and there is still ice on it. I walked in wearing booties with my wetsuit for the first time. It really made me notice how badly my seams leak. I'm guessing I only noticed it because there wasn't water rushing in through my neck and arm holes.

Do all wetsuits leak at the seams? I was thinking about getting the O'neill epic 3/2. It has blindstitched and glued seams, will the water still leak through the seams? I apologize if these are stupid questions, but I've never had a good wetsuit, so I'm curious what I'm missing.

How dry does your suit keep you and what suit do you have?

Dry suit will change the game of early riding. I only use a wetsuit for early summer riding mainly to keep the breeze off me.

Are you talking about a dry suit or wet suit? A wet suit will always allow water in, they are not meant to keep water out. They trap a small layer of water in-between your body and the suit and your body heat warms it up, thus keeping you warm, but wet. At least that is my understanding. If your referring to a dry suit that is whole different thing. Shouldn't get any water coming in on that.

Yep I'm talking about a wetsuit, not drysuit. Just wondering if there are suits that don't leak at the seams. I know they don't keep you completely dry.

My wetsuit has stitched and taped seams, or something along those lines. I don't notice any water coming in via the seam.

That's exactly the kind of info I was looking for. What suit do you have?
