    Default Caulk around floor

When I got my boat back from the dealerlast week for repair and he said its odd that I have caulk around the edges of my floor. I just assumed every LSV had this. Am I the only one? Can I do without it?

    Jim,
My '06 LSV has caulk around the perimeter of the floor also. I have sanp-out carpet and it's completely visible. I thought they all had it too. It sure is a pain to keep that white caulk clean.

The reason for my post is when the dealer reapplied the caulk, they smeared it up the sides. I was thinking the whole thing would look alot cleaner if it wasnt there. I just dont want to remove it if it has a purpose or if water got around those sides that it would cause damage. I too have a snap in carpet and this caulk job is on full display.
