Speaker wire gauge
After spending my winter browsing the archives on here I finally pulled the trigger and am doing some stereo upgrades. Im adding 4 kicker km8's on the tower driven by a wetsounds syn2. There's wire in the tower from the previous owner but it's only 18ga. He was running rev10's if I remember right. I think my wattage should be about the same as the revs but at 2 ohms, is this wire okay? I really don't want to replace it but I don't want to regret it later either

My two cents is to switch it out. The tower is a pretty long run from the amp. Hopefully the stereo experts will give advice.

With that amp, Id suggest: best route, 2 conductor 12ga for each pair, split off with 14ga to each pod. Ok route, 4 14ga 2 conductor, one for each pod. More wire to fish through tower.

That's kinda what I figured, looks like I'll be ordering some 12ga wire. Thanks guys!
