You can either add bow speakers and connect them to the leads hanging right near where they would go, or just leave that B harness alone if you aren't going to.

So I'm still weighing options of zone control via my purchased Exile EXDZ knobs and the head unit or going for the better ZLD solution. With the setup I'm currently on track for I'll have the EXDZ knobs differentiating between tower and cabin zones, leaving no "zone" control for sub-woofer. My question: the sub will be powered from the sub channel of Exile Javelin, and I see it has a remote bass control hookup. The amp manual mentions a part for remote bass control, but there is nothing by Exile I can find with that name (XMRB1). So, will any remote bass control with an RJ type hookup work for this, and second, will a remote bass control allow for a poor man's sub zone control?

Zld every time. Maybe someone has one they will sell cheap? Or if you bought from exile call and see what kind of deal they can make you. They might even have a refurbished.
