That's just a standard surf rope, but the device attached to it is a GPS control device.
I actually have one of the test models from a year or two ago.
A retailer came on the forum and gave one away for testing and shipped it to me. I tested it, then offered to ship it to someone else to try.
The box wires in direct to the boat and the other end is the transmitter.
It worked pretty well.Malo <--- Means--Evil or Mean One. This explains a lot.

Only problem is when you drop the rope you also drop control.
My Mom said I'm not allowed to get wet!

I had one as well to demo, mine included an armband for the remote vs mounting it to the rope. It was actually pretty cool for wakeboarding. I like being able to give the speed a tiny adjustment depending on how the boat was weighted vs having to get the driver to do it.

Here's my review on it from 2014.

I still have it, but haven't bothered putting it on the XLV. It's just a module that is basically plug and play with your perfect pass. (plus power and ground).2008 Moomba Mobius XLV. Monster Cargo Bimini, WS Rev 410's, Polk Cabins, 3 Infinity Subs, PPI amps, WS420, Exile BT, upgraded ballast pumps, up to 3,500+ pounds of ballast, Blue LED's...
1992 Supra Sunsport. **SOLD** 2k pounds ballast, Surf System, Blue LED's everywhere, decent audio system.

This would be good for wakeboarding, but to me is pointless on a wakesurf rope. As mentioned above, once you throw the rope back into the boat you no longer have this feature...now the armband idea could be beneficial. It is always cool to see the different way people think of things through.
