Need Help With Board Selection

Hi, I am new to wake surfing. Bought a 09 Outback V last summer and got around 8 hrs in the water. It has the factory ballasts of 1200 combined. Also bought a Mission Delta wakeshaper, works great. Wife is goofy and I'm regular so it eliminates dumping and filling the bags all the time. The boat came with a Obrien Alias 60" board. It works OK but I am looking for something a bit more advanced. I was able to go without the rope pretty good last time we were out at the end of the season. I want a board more surf than skim but might consider a hybrid type board. I want something stable that has good push with the ability to carve. I have been looking at the following:

1) Obrien Haze 4'9" 4 fin
2) Liquidforce Dart 4'8" 4 fin
3) Hyperlite Shim 4'7" 3 fin

Any feedback on these boards or any differences between would be greatly appreciated. Also, I am 5'9" and 190 lbs. All of these boards come in a bigger options as well, something I may consider.

Budget?
Of those 3 I like the shim. Hyperlite has come a long way with their boards and persoanlly I think LF isn't quite there yet. I believe doomswell has 1 last nubstep blemish on their site for 400, if so order it NOW and never look back!

Check out the phase 5 race in 56.5". Fast board, tons of pop, and very forgiving when spinning. Seemed like I couldn't even sink an edge if I tried when spinning.

I agree. The doomswell boards are legit. I ride a nubstep and my wife rides a sparkplug. I haven't found another board yet that I like as much. (although the Soulcraft Da Honu was pretty close; but the doomswell was less expensive).

We picked up a Victoria board for my son, he's 8 and was able to get up almost right away. I was thinking of getting a bigger Victoria board for myself, if I do I can report back, but of course not until next summer.

I can promise the nubstep will punish all of those listed and I'd be pretty surpised if anyone here disagreed. All of those are also retailing for more than that right now. Other options would be to see what a shop will let you demo

K what the difference between The Doomswell Nubstep and the Drone? They look pretty similar.

I have not ridden the drone but based on the description it seems as though one could outgrow it a bit faster whereas many abilities have ridden my nubstep and all loved it
