Prop Recommendations for 2013 LSV

Hey there, I currently have the stock 537 prop for my LSV. We live in Canada at an elevation of only about 70m... We pretty much only use the boat for surfing, and I just find with the ballast weight and any passengers the boat struggles to just get up to surf speed. I've got the 345 surf motor and have 1100's in the rear, and IBS up front as well. With the Suck G8 on the boat struggles with just 50% of weight added in all ballasts, so I think it's time for a prop upgrade. I see lots recommending the ACME 1617, but some say at lower altitudes they don't see big improvement... Just wondering what others are using out there. I'm waiting to hear back from Wakemakers, but thought I'd reach out to our community to see what others are running... I'd like to weigh the boat down to get the best possible surf wake for my family.

I have the acme 1235 with the surf motor. Our current lake is about 600' or 180m for you. Setup is 3000lbs full with the surf motor, suck gate, and no issues. I can turn 5700rpm @ 42.5mph empty with a couple people and 5500rpm @38 ballast full and 2 people. I'm over red line as it is loaded so you could even load the boat up more if you wanted. I obviously don't push it that hard, just using engine nut's template on how to verify your weight to prop setup. I've had as many as 9 people with ballast full and no problems.

+1 for the Acme 1235 prop. I upgraded from the 537 that came on my '14 LSV, and it works like a beast with 800's rear, 650 IBS and 500 in the center hard tank. We ski and wakesurf and it works great for both

I actually disagree with the two posts above. I have a 2014 LSV with 1100's, 650 IBS, 345 surf motor and the 1235 prop. I cannot run full ballast with that prop. I can only fill the rears to about 75% which is about 800 pounds each otherwise my boat starts to cavitate and cannot get out of the hole. I am replacing my 1235 with a 2079 over the winter. This prop has been run by others on the forum and was recommended to me by Acme.

Yep same thing on my mojo. 1235 wasn't enough prop. Switched to the 2079 and was golden.

We have the 1235 and it's fine for surfing and cruising with no ballast. But if you wakeboard with any ballast it really struggles for us getting on plane. I'll likely be moving to the 2079 in the offseason.

hmmm... K, I'll have to look into the 2079 prop as well. Wakemakers had recommended the 1617 for my 2013 LSV...

In my opinion, the 1617 (14" X 13.75") is not much different than the 1235 (14.5" X 14.25"). Yes, it has a slightly lower pitch, but it also has a smaller diamter. Now compare both of those to the 2079 (14.5" X 12") or even the 2315 (15" X 12"). Quite a bit of pitch difference. Either way you go, you are a whole lot better than the 537 (13.5" X 16") which is basically a speed prop.

Thanks for all the input guys! I ended up pulling the trigger on the weekend and bought a 2079 prop... I got it for 475$ so I'm happy with the price as well... Now I just have to wait to summer to try it out...
