Default Ballast pump starting on it’s own

One of my ballast pump will start filling when i am away from the boat, even if the ignition is off and the key is out. It burst the IBS and almost swamped the boat. Fortunately between the bildge pump and ballast pump working against each other, they drained the battery before sinking the boat.

I checked all the connections at the switch and the pump and it looked ok.

Are the 3 black square box about 4x4 close to the pumps relays ??? Could they be the cause of the problem?

I just realized that the boxes are timer/controller. Do you think that one of them could be the problem?

Possibly. But my next question is how the IBS could possibly burst? Don’t you have an overflow hose that goes from the IBS to a through hull, on the side of the boat???

One of the brackets holding the bench to the floor didn’t have screws in. With the pressure, the bag lift the bench and ruptured against the sharp l shaped bracket.
