Hi I just ordered a new helix and it looks like you can't get the rear transom stereo controls on the 17's can anyone verify this for me because I really want to order it with it!

This showed up recently. Not sure why SC is eliminating a $250 (necessary in my opinion) option. That being said, you can buy one online and have any stereo shop install it. That's what I did. I love the transom remote, almost my favorite mod.

It looks like it is running a different head unit than prior models. There may or may not be a compatible remote.

On the plus side, they finally put the key ignition on the correct side of the steering wheel!

lifeproof case? Sounds like an iPhone problem. If I'm partying on the back of my boat with my phone, it looks more like this ....

I would be willing to be most members on here no longer use their wired transom remote after certain stereo upgrades. It may seem like a great feature and option now. But I wouldn't get hung up on it. Haven't even thought about mine in over two years.

    You bet

OP, can you get the head unit model # they are now using? That will tell you if a remote is available.

I download hours-long mixes off mixcrate and with the addition of the zld or ws 420(rendering volume on the transom unable to do), the transom remote really becomes unneeded.
I am with 13mobius in that I would not miss mine at all.
