    Default 2016 Mojo Tower Speakers

Just got my Mojo in May from the factory with audio package F1 installed with the 4 tower speakers and amp for the aviator tower. When we put it in the water I cranked the volume and the tower speaker cones were moving, but very quietly, and there was no vocals coming out only low sounds. I am able to put my ears up to the speaker when its on with no issues..

I told the sales guy about it during the in water demo and he said "they cone is moving that's how it's set up"- I can't imagine that this is how the speakers are supposed to be operating, does anyone have any suggestions as to what's going on?

    A couple of thoughts

The first fairly obvious thing that could be happening is that the tower crossover is set to low-pass instead of hi pass.

The other thing that comes to mind is that possibly someone attempted to use a 4-channel amp in bridge mode, while somehow wiring the speakers to bridged amp sections that are in-phase. Does the sound coming out sound like the surround channels of your home theater? IF so, try taking the balance control all the way left or right and see if the sound goes up. IF so, we will need to do some careful examination of your wiring. Pics will be a great help in fixing it.

Hopefully it is just a crossover setting error...

It sounds like the tower channels are set to lowpass rather than highpass. Easy to fix.
I'm not aware that the source electronics would have built-in filters, so I'm guessing the issue is limited to the amplifier.
If you discover this is the case, then I would automatically question the rest of the settings. You could take it to a local mobile electronics specialist after the season passes for a full system tune. By then you may have a few ideas for small upgrades or add-ons anyway.

You are a nicer guy than I! Those speakers would have been playing right before I left dealership. I know on supra's ( not sure on moomba) the dealers do some of the installation so just passing that off as normal is crazy. Not to mention that's not a cheap upgrade. Hope you get it fixed and it's a simple fix. Post some boat pics!
