What's under the floor in my ski locker?

The ski locker in my OBV has a flat relatively thug fiberglass floor - anyone have experience cutting into that? I'm guessing that it's just flotation, but before I fire up saws I figured I'd ask.

Basically I want to add a few more 6volt batteries, which are about 2" to talk to go in the locker without cutting the floor.

Second that. I'm talking from lsv experience but under the ski locker floor, I found standing water- not conducive to batteries, imo.

I know they aren't the same boat, but I would exempt to hear you find moisture/ water...
