Here's a storage solution I came up with. They're restaurant bus tubs. 2 fit perfectly and slide back and forth for easy access.

^^^ good idea. Are they off the carpet so air can move through and not mold carpet?

No. They slide right across the carpet but keep water off the carpet. Carpets been dry since I put them in.

I found them at a restaurant supply store. They're rubber made, I think they were $30 each.
