Wood Platform
so does anyknow if they make a wood deck for the back ski deck? I like the looks of the factory one.. but the rubber on it always tracks on to my boat cushions? or has anyone modified a generic one made for a different boat?

A teak platform has always been an option for all of the Moomba models. Check with your local Skiers Choice dealer, I'm sure they would be happy to order you one.

I have the Teak Platform and is is great. It does require some maintenance cleaning and oiling once a year.

There is a place in California (i think) that makes most of the teak platforms for the major manufactures, and they will sell direct to you. They will also do some minor modifications for you for little or no cost. I had one done for my 2000 Outback LS for a cost of under $300 shipped. I will try to find the name of the company. An exhaustive search of Google may help you. Good Luck.

Speaking of platforms. My new Outback doesn't seem to have the platform problems mentioned on a previous post where on climbing into the boat from the platform, black marks were being left behind on the upolstry. I mentioned this to the dealer who said that they had changed to rubber compund eliminating the problem. I've only got 10 hours on the boat, but so far so good.

I dont know about that... My 05 didnt have any symptoms of it last year when people started posting about it ... now just in the last 4 weeks mine is doing it as well... I have started covering the swim platform if the boat sits in the sun and also put rubber conditioner on it before I take it out each time.... It helps a little but its super annoying!
