    Default Feedback/static on the Stereo

Pulled out the boat this weekend to get it ready for the water. Did not have the tower speakers on the boat, but was listening to the 6 cabin speakers while getting the boat cleaned up.

After starting the engine, the stereo had a bunch of static/feedback. I was playing music off my iphone via the Exile bluetooth module. Nothing has changed from a battery or wiring perspective. AWS did some transmission work for me at the end of the season, but aside from that nothing had been done to the boat aside from winterize. The boat is stored indoors and was covered for the off season.

It could be that the batteries were not fully charged, but I am not sure.
It could be that there is a ground problem, but not sure why there is an issue all of a sudden.
It could be there is an issue with the exile bluetooth module.

I plan on getting the boat on the water this weekend with the tower speakers on board. I will dig out my RCA iphone cable and try a direct connection to eliminate the blue tooth module. I will double check the battery ground wire (I have dual batteries with a switch. One battery dedicated to the stereo).

Just wondering if anyone has other ideas on what to check. All has worked perfectly up to this point.

OK, found a couple loose leads for AMP switching on. Got those fixed and got a good charge on the battery. All was sounding good from the driveway last night, we will see what happens today on the water. I did not find any blown fuses, power or ground connections that were loose or having issues.

If you have issues I will be back in town next week and can look it over for you.

I know I have picked up noise when Phone chargers are plugged in. Also if someone has weak phone signal in the boat there phone can cause noise in the stereo. I make everyone that doesn't have solid signal use airplane mode.

FWIW, my whining and lack of sound with the engine running was traced to a bad Kicker Remote Volume Control Module. This is the module that plugs in near the receiver head unit and has wires running out to the remote volume controls, usually installed near the helm. Once that unit was replaced, everything works fine.
