hard to start
I have a 2005 Outback with the 325 MPI. When I start it cold, it fires right away but does not idle unless I bump up the throttle a little. Can anyone tell me if these EFI engines are supposed to go to an automatic high idle when you start them like a EFI car does? After it is warmed up, it starts and idles fine at 620 rpm. I just figured that an EFI engine would fire up and idle on its own unlike my buddy's carbed unit which has to be warmed up with some throttle.
thank-you
Marlon

Automobiles have a cold start valve. The carb'd boats have a choke. I would think the FI's have a cold start something-or-other.
