Default Ghetto gate for the ng obv (2009 - 2014)

Would those of you who have made the ghetto gates for the NG OBV please post pictures of your designs.

Time for me to join the group.

I'll have to make one or two for both sides of the platform. I have regular and goofy foot riders and I surf both sides.

Might be best to make a reversible one. They do take up some space.

    Reversible is something I'm contemplating

I liked Stacy's folding design - probably do something similar to that in order to reduce space requirements.

After seeing what the OBV designs are, probably use a little of all of 'em!

There are several threads with all the designs and most have pictures......might want to just try a search for ghetto gate.

    Yes there are.

Lets make a thread that is OBV specific. I'm sure other OBV owners would appreciate the convenience too.

Is your wave not enough for you?

Or are you making a gate for your guests?

    yes and yes.

I've gotten bored (ah a pun) with surfing and trying to spruce it up a bit.

Lately the wife and I have been using 6 and 7 foot ocean surf boards and think it would be nice to have the wave a little longer.

I'm also very curious as to how far out to the side of the boat we can get

AND with the boat weighted evenly, and 2 gates in place, I'd like to start having 2 people surf at the same time.

don't think this will work, the gate delays one side and that is what helps the wave. 2 gates=longer boat, no delay-no increase in wave

Thanks Stacy - that makes complete sense.

What did you do with your ghetto gate? Wanna sell it?
