Leather “sealant”
My wife bought a new leather chair it has not been “sealed or treated.”
She is taking the kids to the zoo and once I have this chair done, I can head for the lake.
I need to know if you really seal leather (like the 3M stuff to prevent stains) and if you do, anyone know a good one.
I have a couple other tasks – this is last. We are talking hammock time here.

It is not "Sealed" , so not like "Scothguard" - Leather has to breath, and will need updated clenaings and treatments to keep it nice. Go get a good quality Leather Conditioner / Protectant, (Lexol, MeGuiar's, NuBuck, etc), use your bare hand to rub it on and let it soak in. Wait 30 min and then wipe off the excess. Wait an additional hour and then wipe again - should be good for 3-4 months. Repeat as needed or quarterly.

you always condition leather rather than seal it... on shoes you use a sealant upholstery, clothing a conditioner.. hope this helps...

I always use Murphys oil soap cut in water. Let the "Wire Fox Terror" who is not allowed in the moomba get the leather furniture nice and dirty, then, just before company comes about a half hour with the Murphys and its good as new.
