    Default Carbon Fiber Sheet help

Hey, my buddy is restoring his Dad's old '73 tri-hull. Last year they re-did the motor, fuel tanks, trailer, etc. This year it's wetsand and buff the hull then all the flooring and interior.

The pic below (from driveway boating the other day) shows I got him hooked on hydroturf. He ordered two captains seats (still waiting on mounts) and built or rebuilt the rest of the interior seating and covered them with new vinyl. He did a lot of the rails and interior wood with garage floor coating (epoxy and chips system). It came out great. I asked him about his plan for the dash faces you can see in the pics-- it's wood grain vinyl sticker crap. He loved the carbon fiber sheet idea. So I was wondering if anyone has some of this stuff sitting around collecting dust or knows a good cheap source. As you can imagine, he's WAY over budget already on this thing.

Thanks for any help or pointers you can provide.

ebay. I bought some small carbon fiber sheets for a project in a car a few years ago. if you get the thin stuff, it's pretty easy to work with.
there's also some vinyl overlay that look like carbon fiber and go on like stickers. I would bet he would be in it less than $20 for a roll of that stuff shipped to your door.

Thanks! He told me it was really expensive. I had never looked at it. When I saw how cheaply you can get rolls of it I bought him some. We'll see how he does. If it looks cool I'll post up some pics. Everybody loves boat pics on here.
