Anyone seen or tried Ronix Wakesurf Shaper on Moomba boats
Hey there, getting close to that time of year again to start at least thinking of projects to get boat ready for another season of surfing...
I'm flip flopping between a ghetto gate and the Ronix Shaper... Has anyone tried or seen the Ronix Wakesurf Shaper in action? Or found any reliable reviews on them?
I'm wondering how well it will work on our Moomba boats, in particular mine...
Anyone with a 2013 LSV with good plans that have worked well for you for a ghetto gate?
Decisions, decisions...
Only 3+ more months until I can get the boat back in the water... The downside of Canada - eh, not to mention our Canadian Peso currency...----------------------------------------

I have seen it at my local pro shop and it's been put together real nicely. I was cautious at first but now I'm sold and know it's worth the cost. The construction is well thought out being carbon fiber and extremely light and very strong. The spacers that provided will fit almost all hull shapes and the wider one piece Velcro was a very nice upgrade. My shop did get to test it out on a few boats and their sold that is works very very well. They tested it against the 2011 malibu surf and came out with a better wave with the Wake Shaper. Their are a few alternatives to getting the same effect cheaper but you will be happy that you went with the Wake Shaper. I can also get a discount on it here in the states but not sure if that will benefit you.

Do a search for ghetto gates, I built one for my LSV and it worked really well. All in I was under $25 as I just used scrap I had around.

We may need to rename the homemade version to the "budget surf gate" or the "kitchen surf kit".

Or the "skateboard surf gate" for the skateboard ramp with velcro which is what I'm going to try this season.

Mike, Here's the one I'm building for this summer:
https://www.mastercraft.com/teamtalk...ad.php?t=70442
Put the two wedges together and then attach to boat... Super quick to put together, so worth a shot... I just contacted my dealer again today and manual flow is still 2500$ installed for my boat... I figure I'll try the wedge for 60$ and see how it is... I'll post pics when I get to try it in June...----------------------------------------
