    Default Operating Temp

Perhaps this question has been asked before, but what is everyone's operating temp. My 04 Indmar 5.7 carb is running at 180. At least it is consistant. The thermostat in the Indmar manual states 160 on the specs page. Change the impellar every year. Should I change the thermostat? Thanks for your help

I run at 160-180 340HP EFI. When I'm pulling with the tanks full the temp stays about 180.

OK so you guys are about the same.. just making sure no problems with thermostat. Thanks for your replys. Hope everyone has a fine 4 day weekend. Lots of boarding, skiing, tying up, and moderate arm curls planned here. I have a few ruthless buddies that have the new Kite tube.... they break that thing out on holiday weekends. One of them fell Memorial Day weekend from at least 20 feet up, black and blue and spitting blood.... this ought to be fun to watch again. Everyone be safe.

That kite tube is brutal. I am over 200lbs so it doesn't work for me. My 12yo daughter got about 10 ft of air under her and rode it for about 30 seconds. It was amazing. It definitely seems to be a doctors best friend, though. We have had a concussion and a separated shoulder so far.

    Be safe,
    Dave
