IBS on an Outback venting ??s
@kaneboats, thank you. You have changed my life. Tapatalk is awesome but you will have to bear with me, Im still getting used to it.
So tonight I fabbed up a new ballast headder to accomodate the automated IBS. I built it out of pvc fittings and a new orbit valve fr home depot. Im probably going to take alot of flack for using orbits vs irritols, or check valves etc. But I wanted something simple and close to stock and I really dont care about fill times.

Next, I made some progress on my new swim platform I copied from Traysons design. The swim platform is made of 3/4 inch plywood laminated together with PL700 and stainless screws. Im just waiting for warmer weather before I encase it in fiberglass resin and veil, followed by tinted white gelcoat.

I routed all the edges of the platform to chamfer and remove the edge. Then I finished up the new platform brackets. I made them from scrap stainless steel I had laying around. I built them to the identical likeness of the factory ones. As I said before, my boat is a multi sport family boat and not every trip is a surf outing. I wanted to leave my stock platform as is so I could switch back and forth.

I spent the rest of the evening crushing beers at hockey, worked up some liquid courage and drilled a hole in the back side of the drivers foot rest to run the new ballast fill line to the IBS. I attempted to fish the new hose thru to the engine bay but what a pain! I was unsucsessful, and will try again tomorrow.

You might consider the flat area to the right of the dash for your horn?
I installed my LED switches there and was very convenient.

Ive been considering that, viking which is why I havent installed the horn button yet. I like the clean look your switches have installed there. I havent checked yet, what is behind there?

Nothing wrong with using the ole sprinkler valves. Just a little slow. Looks like you've got some skills and a plan. Keep sharing your pics!

Thanks Kane. A little more progress today: I finished the switch install in the dash and mapped the wiring harness I got from wakemakers. I know the new switch isnt quite as square as the others but I had no choice. There was going to be some interference with the panel mounting studs if I didnt. The second pic shows where I had to notch the dash in behind the switch panel in order for it to fit. I hope the pics turn out, lighting wasnt great.
