    Default cooling water intake

Got my 05 lsv out in some pretty dirty water over the weekend and was wandering if there was anything I should check on the water intake system to make sure no debris got sucked into engine or anything I should clean or flush out to prevent any future problems. Will not be going back to this area again.
Thanks in advance for any input on this

Hopefully you have a intake strainer? (Check it for debris). Typically you will find your engine temp running higher then normal or fluctuating if you have a restriction.

For what it’s worth, I flush the motor after each use. If you trailer you can use a Fake-A-Lake, or a Flush-Pro if you keep it docked.

The water strainer is a plus. If you are in shallow waters or highly littered areas w/o one, remove the hose on the inlet side of the trans. cooler and feel for debis before hitting the ramp. Brian Raymond.
