yes we had to cut a ditch to the dam and through the dam to de-water the silt. We were digging 12' deep in the silt we still were not hitting a hard bottom. so we had to lay a clay road to get a cut to the dam. that will make that area over 20' deep. ( we will not move all this dirt, we will move what we can afford and have room for on the dam end. it is already close to 10' deep.

Amazing to pay some to take the soil and they will have someone pay them to deliver it. You should be able to connect with someone and split the costs.

Sounds like your wife schedule expectation to husband schedule expectation ratio is exactly the way it is at my house! Good luck on this awesome project. Are you anywhere close to those Herman brothers I see on TV's "Lake Life" ? You could probably be on TV yourself with this project.....but may not be on your interest list.
