Default How to LAP your PROP to your SHAFT

A very interesting you tube video on how to do this. I have no lathe and am thinking i could do this on my boat lift. or you could do it on your trailer and spin the prop rather than spinning the shaft. not sure if i would attempt this while the engine is in idle forward mode but it would be an interesting video to see.........

I deal with taper shafts for brakes on overhead cranes. We dont lap to fit and in 10 years I have never seen a brake drump come off a shaft. I understand our boats have torque but a 200% torque brake on a 600hp motor that has cycle times over 1k per hour will lose fit long before your prop. Just make sure you have a clean shaft and bore.
