Default 2007 XLV Swivel Seat Modification-- super fast and easy

ok, i have read the swivel seat mod stuff on here, and i kinda have my own spin on it. this took approximately 2 hours to complete, except time to gather materials, etc.
    Materials:
    2 9 x 11.5 x 5/16 aluminum plates--metal fab shop, cost about 25 bucksswivel seat adapter 2.jpgswivel seat adapter.jpg
    4 1 1/4" to 1 1/2" bolts, machine head
    16 lock washers
    20 larger diameter machine washers
hack saw, undercut saw, sawsall--for removing ends of bolts
swivel-- 10 bucks at any boat store

    1. take plates and match existing harware locations
    2. take plates and match swivel
    3. drill holes
    4. mount swivel
    5. cut off bolt ends
    6. attach plate to boat seat rails
    7. add machine washers under lower plate (between plastic spacer and lower plate), as needed to level seat. i think i used 6 on each side.
    8. cut off bolt ends
    9. attach seat to upper plate
    10. enjoy

Depends on which year/seat you have. I know it works on 2008.
