    Default Exile install complete

Finished this project officially today. Removed the factory tower speakers, kicker amp. In came 2 pairs of SXT's, ZLD, XM30.2, and also replaced all the tower speaker wire with new 14AWG. Love the new setup. If only it would stop raining long enough to listen to it outside of the garage. I'm fortunate I've got some pretty handy friends that work for beer!ImageUploadedByTapatalk1429482542.668373.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1429482558.170688.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1429482565.569731.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1429482577.586623.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1429482614.205840.jpg

Yeah, that sounds like a really rough trip.

I'll cover it next time for ya, if you need me to.

Just curious - why did you go with 14 gauge wire for the tower?

I have a spool of 14 ga tin plated wire and was just about to go buy 12 ga - would love not to have to.

Even Brian didn't poo-poo that Hmmmmm.

OK dudes.....is 14 ga OK or not????

I too have the xm30.2 and will be using either 4 (or maybe downgrading to 2 Exile SXT65 speakers)

I went with the 14 at the suggestion from exile (not Brian, however we spoke several times) they said anything thicker would be hard to snake through the tower. I'm not sure what was up there before from the factory but it didn't look like anything to brag about (my original plan was to just use what was up there). I mounted my second pair on the forward tube and it took a few tries to snake it around the Bimini top post holes. If you aren't going to mount there then 12 shouldn't be an issue.
