    Default Mondo Oil/Transmission Fluid

    1) Do most of you guys change your own fluids or should I just take it and have it done. Local shops are charging ~$170.

    2) How easy it?

If you have the right equipment it is easy, just need something to suck the oil out.

Most of the guys on here do it themselves. Get yourself a large capacity oil sucker ~ $50-70 and a funnel Then all you need is oil and an oil filter. It will save you time as it only takes about 15 minutes to do for the engine, and 10 for each of the vdrive and tranny. Shell rotella is used by many without problem for a 15w40. The only issue some have had is getting the oil filter off, make sure you lube the gasket on the new one, and use the easy drain tube from the bottom of the oil pan and not the dipstick tube.
