Default Tower mirror adapter for 2006 cipa mirror

I just bought a skylon tower mirror arm to fit on my new 2006 LSV. The arm fits great but the mirror that came with the boat does not attach correctly. The cipa mirror on my 06 has this long arm that I had to bend which looks kind of junky. I thought the mirror would have just a loop in the back to slide over my tower mount.. Has anyone else run into this problem or does any have a solution that might work instead of buying a new mirror?

Roachman, Since seeing your post (and I have been looking at the tower arms to buy), I noticed that I would have the same problem.

I did a little research and monstertower.com has a adapter to allow you to use your factory mirror but be able to mount it in your tower arm.

    $35.00

Thanks Doug. I saw it on the website. You would think skiers choice would send us something free for spending 40K on a boat

Or on the other hand thats why the boat is 40k and not 55-60 like most other V/DD boats...

Its just a mirror guys. Thanks for all the wisdom...not. All I was saying is you should have the option for an older mirror(or tower compatible) which is probaly cheaper then the 2006 ball socket mirrors. Until then I will have to go to Monster towers to get an adapter.

Roachman, I ended up buying the mirror are made by roswell who makes the tower. It is a bit more expensive but I was able to use the mirror provided by the Skiers Choice and it looks awesome.

Much better than the windshield mounted one.
