Is this bracket for mounting a speaker?

It is more than clear that Skiers Choice doesn't care about making wires invisible. If they cared, there would be a hole in the port side upright of the OZ and OZHD tower. Take a look at all the Moomba factory mounted speakers. There are wires hanging out on both sides.

    You had to go there

Joe hit it right, with no hole in the port side upright of the OZ and OZHD tower most will drill a hole on the outside to jump over to the factory gromment hole, with more wires showing.

It is not impossible to get them totally hidden on towers without the bracket mounts, just takes patience and a long drill bit going thru the factory grommet hole into the port upright. I have been told the factory has made request for the port upright hole, like the one on the startboard side, but it has not gotten done.

There are many tower speakers with the wires concealed within the collar, such as Wetsounds or HollowPoint. It won't help in this application if you mount to the flat plate. In any case, new penetrations on the top side should conceal the wires from view from most perspectives. Any 'X' mount should bolt up to the flat plates without much trouble. I'd be more concerned that you have enough stand-off so that the pod clears the surrounding tower.

have others post up pics with four pods on the oz towers, that plate is horrible for speaker mounts.

    Default Speaker Mount

    Thread revival...
I'm getting ready to mount the 2 pairs of exile sxt9's on my Oz tower. Planning to just put the first pair where the factory ones are located. Thoughts/suggestions on the second with regard to keeping wires hidden and ease of running wire through the tower.
