Rockford Fosgate tower speakers
Has anyone heard the Rockford fosgate m282
8" tower speakers. I know they are no wet sounds
Or exiles, but for the money will they b loud enough to hear them while surfing.
I was think of powering 2 of them with the Rockford fosgate p400x2 amp

Although they are an in-boat coaxial loaded into a tower pod, they are not a bad speaker setup for the money. For a single pair, I would like an amp that deliver 150W rms min, 200W rms ideal. At normal operating voltage, that puts the 8" speaker right in its ideal RMS. 2 pair at 100W rms each would be fine.

Agreed. I held/touched/played with a pair of Roswell 8" tower speakers. Not much difference from the Rockfords, as far as the actual speaker is concerned . Roswell mounts and housings are what make them so expensive . The rockford 8's are more than enough speaker, so long as they have ample power and good OFC wiring.
