Hey guys, I'm curious what thoughts are out there on an issue I made for myself.

Got a few small spots on the boat carpet where a 2 year old tracked gum into the boat. I used small amounts of Goo Gone on a small foam paintbrush to dab the area, and pull up the gum. The Goo Gone was followed by standard carpet cleaner to try to wick the Goo Gone out, and I thought I had got most of it. Worked super slick. However, the next time I popped open the boat, where I had used the Goo Gone, the carpet had bubbled up and was no longer stuck to the boat.

Like I said, I used a very small amount of it by just dabbing, but it was obviously enough to wick down into the carpet and release the backing from the glue below.

I am trying to figure out how to get these spots re-stuck. You guys have any ideas? I have a few, but don't like any of them too well.

Thanks in advance.
