    Default Safety Cable or chain

Can I get some folks in here to post a photo of what you use for a safety chain on the bow of the boat? I see a place to put something there on the trailer and Id like to add something. I currently use a large stainless cable but would rather have something mounted to the trailer for ease of use.

    Thanks!

I don't have one on my Supra sure to the trailer buddy but my SN had a big ass turn buckle that I really liked because it kept the front tight.

Not a bad idea there. I was thinking of doing a heat shrink wrap. Something to keep it from scratching up the trailer.
So when is this "old enough to know better" supposed to kick in?

Not sure if you can see it. my trailer has a d-ring and I go in front of the bar that connects the front guide posts (the ones that really never get used because my boat doesn't go far enough to hit them).

I could probably have stronger chain, but it's what came on the trailer...

I will say that one time I had used the inline carabiner to take up slack in the chain. but the boat settled by the next time I used it and there wasn't enough slack to undo the clip from the bow eye. Luckily, I had attached the chain to the trailer eye with a D-shackle, so I was able to undo the bottom of the chain without needing more slack.
