Safety Cable or chain
Can I get some folks in here to post a photo of what you use for a safety chain on the bow of the boat? I see a place to put something there on the trailer and Id like to add something. I currently use a large stainless cable but would rather have something mounted to the trailer for ease of use.
Thanks!Jim Hagen

I don't have one on my Supra sure to the trailer buddy but my SN had a big ass turn buckle that I really liked because it kept the front tight.

no pic, but looks like Boons above, but I wrapped mine in some black split conduit to give it a more finished look

Not sure if you can see it. my trailer has a d-ring and I go in front of the bar that connects the front guide posts (the ones that really never get used because my boat doesn't go far enough to hit them).
I could probably have stronger chain, but it's what came on the trailer...
I will say that one time I had used the inline carabiner to take up slack in the chain. but the boat settled by the next time I used it and there wasn't enough slack to undo the clip from the bow eye. Luckily, I had attached the chain to the trailer eye with a D-shackle, so I was able to undo the bottom of the chain without needing more slack.Last edited by trayson; 08-19-2014 at 06:20 PM.
