It's a boat, what is water going to do that won't make it look as good as the day you bought it? Water dries. To each their own though.

People can bring in water but leave the sand where you found it. A good day on the water is a wet floor except my designated dry spot behind the driver. I need that for food and electronics. My boat doesn't mind water.

My boat gets wet when I wash it.

    Then I dry it.

Then it looks better than before.

The least amount of water the better IMO. The more water i get on my seats, ends up in storage causing that wonderful musty smell. We keep our boat in dry storage and are out past closing most nights and have to cover the boat without letting it fully dry out even tho we have a few damp-rids in the boat

To each their own....no need to judge because its not your boat

I can understand your point of view.

I am pretty anal about my bout and keeping it new looking all the time. When we sold our 08 there wasn't, a scratch or tear or mark in the interior.

We have our black lab and he is draging so much water in the boat it looks like a swimming pool sometimes.

What we do to keep everything nice is, Towels on the seats, and the rear deck. This protects his paws from marring the seats.

Also the towels catch a lot of water from people. Also at the end of the day we wipe everything down.

Each week at the end of the main boating days I spray all the storage area with 50% Distilled white vinegar, 50% water. This kills any mildew, stops spiders and deters other inspects from nesting in the boat.
