Yesterday I was out on the lake doing some surfing, turned to pick up my rider and there was a click and all of a sudden It was like the boat was in neutral.

We had to be towed to the dock, I was super concerned that I had damaged the tranny or v drive. I put the boat up on my boat lift to find that the drive shaft had come out of the coupler?? I happened to have friend at the lake who is a mechanic and he came and had a look at it, he promptly took the coupler off and found my broken brass key stock and the stainless nut. He offered to put it back together for me but we didn't have brass key stock………
I was able to make a call to guy at my lake who had some, and we put it back together and boat is working prefect. But I have never heard of the key stock failing at the top of the drive shaft before.

Anyway I was super grateful to my buddy who helped me out of a jam !

Now I need to replace the key stock, does not seem to be very common, any idea?
