    It's actually Central Oregon. Prineville Reservoir state park. It's about a 3 1/2 hour drive (when you don't have blowouts). Central Oregon is called the "high dessert". it's over 3000 feet and lots of ponderosa pine and the like.

    ahhhhh very cool. never been to central OR ... just did the #5 south and the coast drives. beauty state. wife loves portland (shes vegan)
